Carolina Kaufman
Carolina is the Director of Education & Engagement at the University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums and leads the direction of campus and community-wide educational programs, collaborations, visitor services, and outreach of the Old Capitol Museum and Museum of Natural History. Ms. Kaufman additionally serves on the Native American Council and Latinx Council on campus in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion necessary for a global community of learning at Iowa. With 20+ years of expertise in the field of museum education, digital learning, and educational content development, Carolina engages diverse audiences in multiple modes of interaction with museum collections and exhibits. Carolina holds a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with further graduate and professional training from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In addition to her work in Iowa City, IA., Carolina illustrates for Children's Books and takes time to mentor the next generation of life-long creative thinkers, museumgoers, scientists, and educators.
